Forensic & Other Medical Examiners

Examining, measuring and documenting the bodies of victims and their injuries is a complex business. New technologies can make this job easier as well as enable substantially greater accuracy than conventional techniques. Sub-millimeter scanning technologies can aid you in achieving higher standards. Laser scanners are allowing law enforcement to reverse-engineer events with higher accuracy than before. To aid investigators and prosecutors, they need more accurate spatial data about victims in order to be able to testify beyond a reasonable doubt as to what did not happen; in this way the window of opportunity as to what did happen becomes much smaller. You can help crime scene investigators and 3D reconstructions make that window as small as possible by utilizing these new techniques.

All members receive the IAFSM quarterly newsletter.
